Rooted in Christ.
Growing in Faith.
At BBCS, spiritual life is not a subject—it’s a way of life.
Chapel
Every Wednesday, students gather to focus their hearts on the Lord through age-appropriate chapel services. These times provide a break from academics and a space to worship, pray, and grow together in their faith.
Elementary Chapel: Emphasizes simple truths through Bible stories, music, and prayer.
High School Chapel: Includes expository preaching, topical series, and practical discipleship.
Career Chapel (Grades 9–12):
Held bi-quarterly with guest Christian professionals.
Focuses on how faith shapes their work and testimony.
Followed by a Q&A with 11th–12th graders for real-life dialogue about calling, integrity, and Gospel impact in secular fields.
Bible Class
At BBCS, Bible is not just a subject—it’s the foundation of our curriculum. All students K4–12 attend daily Bible classes designed to help them know God’s Word and live it out.
K4–6th Grade: BJU Press curriculum focuses on Bible stories, memory verses, and foundational theology.
7th–12th Grade: Emphasizes Christian worldview, apologetics, doctrine, and real-world application.
Department Goals:
Lead each student to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
Develop attitudes and values based on Scripture.
Nurture a personal walk with God and individual accountability.
Community Service
As part of their discipleship, high school students are called to live out their faith through service. BBCS provides structured opportunities and accountability to serve our church and local community.
Requirements:
Grades 9–10: 10 hours/year
Grades 11–12: 15 hours/year
Max 5 hours from BBCS events
Max 5 hours from local church activities
Why it matters:
Service helps students see that their faith is not just personal—it’s missional. By giving time and energy to others, they reflect the heart of Christ.
